Rev. Doug Cornelius
Minister for Youth and Christian Education
Pastor Doug grew up in Virginia, went to undergrad in Pennsylvania, and seminary in New Jersey. He was ordained in 2008, and FPC Hamilton Square is his first call in ministry. He works with the church’s youth group and their families, Christian Education programs, young adults, the contemporary praise band, missional ministries, communications, and creative worship. He is passionate about exploring new and explorative directions for church ministry while honoring tradition and learning from history. He loves spending free time with family, basketball, guitars, and his dog Gini.

The Rev. E. Nicholas (Nick) Van Gombos
Transitional Pastor
Rev. E. Nicholas (Nick) Van Gombos is our Transitional Pastor during an Interim period in congregational life. He looks back to family and church roots in So. California and So. New York. A significant ‘faith renewal’ while at St. Lawrence Univ, Canton, NY, led him Princeton Seminary for a Master of Divinity. There his focus in New Testament, Preaching and Worship nurtured a ‘Call’ into Presbyterian Ministry. Nick has served in parish settings in the mid west, New England and Millburn, NJ, as well as in a unique role as Director of the Kerygma Program of Adult Bible Study in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Nick and his wife of 40 years, Franny, are blessed with three grown sons and lovely daughters in law. They enjoy nature, reading, music, culture, travel and the joy of spoiling two precious grandchildren. With a certification in The Art of Transitional Ministry, from his current home base in Ewing, NJ, he is with us to help prepare the way for our next Installed Senior Minister.
